Cold Low Fat Milk Matcha Latte

A refreshing iced matcha latte made with low fat milk. Light, creamy, and perfect for a guilt-free treat.

Ingredients

  • 3g / 1.5 tspMatcha powder
  • 30ml / 2 tbspHot water(77°C / 170°F)
  • 120-150ml / 4-5 fl ozLow fat milk
  • to fill glassIce
  • to tasteSweetener of your choice

Instructions

    Measure 3g / 1.5 tsp of matcha powder and sift into a bowl or cup to remove lumps.

    Add 30ml / 2 tbsp of hot water (77°C / 170°F).

    Whisk in a zig-zag W motion for 30 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and slightly frothy.

    Fill your serving glass with ice.

    Add sweetener of your choice, mix it with ice a little bit.

    Pour 120-150ml / 4-5 fl oz of low fat milk over the ice.

    Pour the whisked matcha over the milk and enjoy the beautiful layered effect.

Tips

  • Sifting the matcha prevents clumps in your drink.
  • For a sweeter drink, add a teaspoon of maple syrup or simple syrup.
  • Any plant-based milk works; almond and soy milk are also great alternatives.
