Cold Oat Milk Matcha Latte

A refreshing iced matcha latte made with creamy oat milk. The perfect dairy-free, plant-based way to enjoy matcha on a warm day.

Ingredients

  • 3g / 1½ teaspoonsMatcha powder
  • 30ml / 1 fl ozHot water(77°C / 170°F)
  • 80-90ml / 3 fl ozOat milk(barista blend recommended)
  • to fill glassIce

Instructions

    Measure 3g / 1½ teaspoons of matcha powder and sift into a bowl or cup to remove lumps.

    Add 30ml / 1 fl oz of hot water (77°C / 170°F).

    Whisk in a zig-zag W motion for 30 seconds to 1 minute until smooth and slightly frothy.

    Fill your serving glass with ice.

    Pour 80-90ml / 3 fl oz of oat milk over the ice.

    Pour the whisked matcha over the milk and enjoy the beautiful layered effect.

Tips

  • Barista blend oat milk froths and mixes better than regular oat milk.
  • Sifting the matcha prevents clumps in your drink.
  • For a sweeter drink, add a teaspoon of maple syrup or simple syrup.
  • Any plant-based milk works; almond and soy milk are also great alternatives.
