Rich Hot Matcha Latte with Oat Milk

Ingredients

  • 4g / 1 teaspoonMatcha powder
  • 40ml / 2.5 tablespoonsHot water(70-80°C / 160-175°F)
  • 75-100ml / 2.5-3.5 fl ozOat milk
  • to tasteHoney, agave, or simple syrup

Instructions

    In a cup, combine 4g matcha powder with your sweetener. Mix thoroughly with a spoon.

    Add 10-20ml of hot water (70-80°C) and whisk thoroughly to create a paste.

    Add the remaining hot water and whisk until fully dissolved.

    Heat 75-100ml of oat milk in a microwave-safe container or small pot. Pour into the matcha mixture and stir. Warm further if desired.

  • Barista blend oat milk froths better and creates a creamier texture.
  • Adjust sweetener to taste; honey adds warmth while agave is more neutral.
  • Creating a paste first prevents clumps in the final drink.
  • For extra foam, use a milk frother on the heated oat milk before adding.
